It is time to get to know the Groups which work on the project a little bit better. In the next weeks you will learn about tasks and their contribution to the project. We start with the groups Destination Analysis and Target Group Analysis as their main work load takes place at the beginning of the project.
Destination Analysis Group
From left to right: Alexandru Scutaru, Yi-Ling Lin, Jeremy Brooks , Beatrice Vallant, Andrea Ruckendorfer
The task of these five students is to have a look at the destination Annaberg itself. That means they are gathering information about the history, environment, infrastructure, gastronomy etc. The results of this analysis are very important for all the other groups as they will base their further research and ideas on it.
Target Group Analysis Group
From left to right: Christian Punkenhofer, Katharina Prim, Stefan Poysil, Svetlana Lissina
The first task of this group is to research about the current target group of Annaberg. Based on that research they have to define a future target group and the possible expectations of the guests considering of course summer and winter tourism in Annaberg. Other Groups like the Group Functional Analysis as well as the Group Touristic Staging depend on their outcomes!

Presentation of IMC Student Groups Involved in the Project
Sunny Saturday in Annaberg
If tourists go somewhere they expect things to happen over there, so if they come back for 5, 6, 10 or whatever time, they want to see something new. And if you can offer them new things they willcome again.
Mr. Pesendorfer
On 22d of October during a sunny Saturday first-year Master Students of the Tourism and Leisure Management Programme in IMC had an extern session as a part of “Experience Design” course and “Reidlhütte NEW” project. The meeting itself took place in Annaberg which is situated in the alpine Mostviertel region of LowerAustria. An excursion began with onsite inspection of the “Reidlhütte”. Students were very excited to see the hut from the inside and get the “feeling” of the area. All questions about the spot and its facilities were kindly answered by Mr. Burger and Mr.Pesendorfer and his wife which was of a great help for students to complete their first impression of the “Reidlhütte”.
Next part of the excursion took place already in Anna Alm. It is a sweet ski hut with large sun terrace and beautiful panorama at the highest point of the ski resort (am Hennesteck). To reach this point IMC students were lucky to enjoy their ride and get impressed by magnificent views on a chair lift. That was a lovely experience!
The meeting itself began with short IMC–internal presentations of group work packages. Soon after arrival of NDU students all participants of the “Reidlhütte NEW” project were ready to discuss current issues with each other, getting additional information from Mr. Redl, Burger and Mr.Pesendorfer. To get a better insight into the topic and find out necessary information a number of interviews was carried out after an official part of discussion. During the meeting in Anna Almboth IMC and NDU students had a great opportunity to define ways of cooperation
and integration of both teams in a very homelike atmosphere being invited for a snack by Mr. Burger.
As a result during this Saturday in Annaberg IMC students were able not only to get a right impression of the region, but also to find out some relevant information
for the project, share new ideas and discuss communication issues with NDU students. The meeting in Annaberg was a great chance for its participants to combine educational process with pleasure spending a sweet sunny day in a very picturesque region.

Kick-Off in St. Pölten
In order to get the project started, the students of the IMC and the NDU had their first big meeting with their client, the so called Kick-off meeting.
That is why the IMC students and Mr. Steckenbauer set off to St. Pölten early in the morning of the 6th of October where they were warmly welcomed by their colleagues from the NDU and Mr. Zuckriegl. Of course the students were quite excited, not only because they met their client and some of their stakeholders, but also because they had the chance to get clear-up of all their uncertainties concerning the project. Right in the beginning Mr. Redl, the CEO of the NÖ Bergbahnen BeteiligungsgmbH, managed to clarify a lot of questions and concerns. After that Mr. Burger shared his knowledge about the current touristic situation of Annaberg with the students. The students seized this opportunity to thoroughly question him, thus also learning about the history of the Reidlhütte. In the end, the pictures of some investments which Mr. Pesendorfer and his wife undertook in Annaberg deeply impressed the students. It gave them an idea about what can be achieved with a creative and well thought-out investment in the Annaberg region.
To close the meeting the students were invited for lunch, which, of course, they highly appreciated and also used this time for further networking.
Equipped with a clear picture of the project, the signed project assignment in their pocket and some first creative ideas in their minds the students contently headed back home.
And now it is time for them to get their act together and start working on the project.

Welcome to the Project „Reidlhütte New“!!
THE aim: Where have all those good, old days gone…
SKIING as an experience itself in the Austrian Alps: snow-covered mountains, familiar atmosphere, fun and action, skiing huts with traditional food, time for relaxation…
THE project: Revitalisation is the key and a new and attractive skiing hut the starting point. In the skiing resort of Annaberg the object “Reidelhütte” will be reborn.
THE cooperation Innovation, creativity and functionality are wanted. In cooperation with the Niederösterreichische Bergbahnengesellschaft, the students of the IMC (University of Applied Sciences in Krems) and the NDU(New Design University in St. Pölten) will be contributing their creative ideas as well as freshly gained knowledge into an innovative concept for the “Reidlhütte New”. Real-life experience and the chance to directly involve earned knowledge are the motivators for an excellent outcome.
